Vibration sensor detecting earthquakes and triggering elevator shutdown and recall.
A seismic switch detects earthquake ground motion and triggers the elevator seismic operating mode. When activated, it signals the controller to move elevators to the nearest floor, open doors, and shut down until inspected.
